Detail
The Closed Cell PE is a sponge sheet made from polyethylene. Available in a white color, these foam sheets are highly compressible but sufficiently durable for most impact-related applications. The cellular nature of this material allows for high levels of compressibility and also the ability of the material to bounce back to its original form. When pressure is applied to the surface of this closed cell foam material, the air pockets within its structure collapse in on themselves. When that pressure is removed, the air pockets bounce back and the sponge sheet will revert back to its original form. Polyethylene sponge sheets are also useful for their durability. This resilience makes them ideal for use in applications such as protective padding and gaskets. Another benefit of this PE foam is that it can be used for sound and temperature insulation. The white color of this Closed Cell PE sheet will not leave any marks or stains on the surfaces it comes into contact with. This closed cell sponge is available in thickness options ranging from 1/8 in. to 1 in. and the sheet is sized at 39 in. x 78 in
