The IDEAL 61-946 Sure Trace Open/Close Circuit Tracer is a CAT III 480 V rated digital Circuit Tracer that provides an easy-to-use trouble shooting tool for finding: breakers and fuses, conductors in walls, ceilings and floors, dead shorts, opens on conductors, splice errors (shared neutrals). It can be used on energized and de-energized systems as well as 3-Phase systems carrying up to 480-Volt AC/DC (50 and 60 HZ). The receiver has a backlit display that can be illuminated when working in poor or zero lighting conditions and a mute button for operating in noise sensitive areas. The Transmitter has a magnetic/hook strap clip for hands free use in panels and areas where the transmitter requires suspended connections to conductors (strap sold separately). It also has an integrated kick stand allowing it to be set up on flat surfaces for easier viewing of the indications. The Receiver and Transmitter have an industrial grade over molding that enhances grip and drop protection. The kit includes an AC 2 bladed receptacle plug with banana plugs, a pair of 3-foot-long leads, 2 Alligator Clips, one ground Adapter and 2 blade adapters that attach to the lead set. The kit comes with 10 1.5V AA Batteries and an easy open, fully accessible compact soft case with a handle that allows for Tracer Receiver, Transmitter, battery and accessory storage
