Detail
Make your attic access energy efficient with the E-Z Hatch Deluxe R-42 Attic Access Door. It provides an air-tight, high-performance scuttle door that is more energy efficient than pull down ladders. The kit includes a wood frame, preinstalled trim, and an insulating door. It is R-50, triple-gasketed, pre-finished and fits into a 22.5 in. x 30.5 in. rough opening. New code requirements state that the attic access pull down ladder or access hatch must be insulated to the same level as the rest of the attic (minimum of R-30 to R-49). Pull down attic ladders no longer meet code unless insulated to minimum of R-30. E-Z hatch is the alternative. A step ladder provides attic access
